Angela Nordyke

Angela Nordyke is a Detective with the Dallas Police Department and is one of the cast members on the reality television show Police Women of Dallas. Angela is currently assigned to the FBI Dallas Violent Crimes Task Force that investigates robberies involving weapons and violent suspects. After graduating from Midwestern State University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, Angela entered the Dallas Police Academy. Angela’s father was a Dallas Police Officer for over 40 years and it was apparent to Angela that being a police officer was in her blood. Angela says that being a police officer has been the most amazing, scary, fun and rewarding career and that she couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

Angela was recruited for the show Police Women of Dallas by one of her high ranking supervisors. The OWN network wanted a new spin on the series by including a detective to depict what happens after the initial report is filed by patrol. Angela says that filming a television show is an interesting experience and one that she hopes will bring a positive light to the tough job police officers do every day.

When she’s not working, Angela enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, Kate, as well as family and friends. Her hobbies include running, exploring new places and riding bikes with Kate. Angela hopes to travel anywhere and everywhere outside the United States as soon as she finds time!
